Default Adventures in Babysitting Part II, By Sammy

Awhile back I wrote about babysitting the upstairs neighbor's new
minature datsun. You'll propably remember that it turned out not to be
a car but a puppy. Today the puppy spent the day with us again.

Momma suggested we name it Stinky Poo (for obvious reasons), but the
hoomins are calling it Pebbles. (GW - Every time it wakes up it needs
to use the litter box, but it just squats wherever it feels like it
and goes. And, about half an hour after it eats it poops the most
awful smelly poop in the whole wide world. The hoomin tries to keep an
eye on it and take it outside, but he sometimes misses the warning
signs.)

The good news is that while it hasn't grown any that I can tell, it's
not nearly as clumsy as when it first stayed with us. I guess Momma
was right about puppys being babies, but I still don't see how this
thing can grow into a d*g. I see the three dogs in the yard behind us,
and the two next door, and no way this little runt can grow that big.
Momma just laughs and says something about chow and german shepherds
being big d*gs, and datsuns being little d*gs. She says all d*gs are
our natural enemies, but I read here that some d*gs can be trained to
be good pets. Don't tell Momma, but I might suggest to the hoomin that
he get me one for Christmas. It's kind of cute when it's asleep, and
it's fun to play with, even if it does seem to drool all the time.

We spent most of the day chasing each other from room to room. It's
fun now that it can run without falling over. Whenever I want to rest
I just jump up on a chair, but Momma says that won't last as it will
keep growing and eventually be able to jump up on the furniture. So
Momma and I have started training it not to get on the furniture by
sitting in chairs and swatting it whenever it cames too close. 'Course
Momma doesn't play with it, but she hardly every plays with me either.

Guess that's about it for today. I post further updates when they
happen.

Bye for now,

Sammy

Lovely story, Sammy. It sounds as if you and your Momma are training the
puppy very well. Maybe you can teach it to use the litter box, too? ;o)
