Default Stray Kitty Purrs Please!

I have a stray cat quarantined here tonight. Long story, but the kitty
has some obvious health issues and is quite thin. She has an
appointment with TED tomorrow to evaluate just what is going on with
her. She is a longhaired tuxedo girl and is a very sweet, affectionate
cat.

Unfortunately, I don't feel real good about this. She looks like a
poster cat for Feleuk/FIP. But I hope I'm wrong and that she only needs
some nutrition and maybe antibiotics.

So Im asking for purrs/good thoughts that some TLC & vet care will fix
her up.

Thanks

Sherry

We shall purr that the health problems are curable. Do people in your
vicinity ever advertise for lost cats? MLB

Occasionally, but not often. There is a public bulletin board at the
post office, and a newspaper. This kitty started hanging around my
son's house and just would not leave. I kind of suspect she belonged
to a family that moved and they left her. Anyway she was just so thin.
First I thought she just needed food, but she would just pick at the
food and not really eat. We thought her teeth might be bad, but it
turns out she has sores all in her mouth. So I just brought her home. I
have been very careful to not expose her to the other cats, I know that
calci virus causes mouth ulcers, but feleuk cats and FIP cats also get
them. Poor little thing. She really is such a sweet cat.

Could just be very advanced malnutrition. Have you tried giving soft food?

Purrs coming for everything to work out for the best.
