Grown man crying over a stupid cat. Not at all. I remember when I was in my early 20's and my d*g died. I bawled for days. Hell, I even got misty-eyed when my family's oldest cat, a cat that had been with us since I was a teenager, died last year or the year before, and I'm in my 30's now. Please no lectures about letting him out. Live and learn... That's part of what life's for, IMHO... to live and learn. David --- Unca Cory, stunned to see how much of GFF could be applied to the loss of my hoomin brother last year... P.S. - Could sumkitty purrleez an' fangu forward dis tu David. I am so sorry for your loss (and apologize for being so late in saying
so). Welcome to the community. Usually my Mietze acts as spokeskitty, and she'd tell you about our Jellicle Ball. During the first full moon in October, we gather to pay tribute to our friends who have gone on ahead. Their names are respectfully called, and a family member or close friend can take the opportunity to post about them. There is a webpage which records each year's Calling of Names: http://www.geocities.com/bccclub/walk.html If you would like, Mietze would include your Kitty in this year's Calling; please either post or write back privately with Kitty's "House of" name. David,
I am sorry to be so late in sending you condolences. It is never "stupid" to cry for a loved ones loss no matter their species. You loved Kitty and Kitty loved you, it is as simple as that. May the Kitty sized hole in your heart start to heal and may the hole be filled with wonderful memories of the time you had together. Fran (Mom to Punkins & Puddi Cat) -- "DavidR" wrote in message ... I know I don't know any of you from Adam. But I think you can relate since you are cat lovers. Anyway, its good therapy to write it down. Kitty died. Had him for 12 years. He was my best friend. A large spotted tabby. A girl that was walking her dog found him across the street. She came to the door about 10 this morning and said that she read his collar with my name and address. I had just made him a new one Monday night because he did not have his old one on. I was wondering why he did not come home last night. In the back of my mind I knew something was wrong. But not this. I just buried him in the yard facing home with some of his favorite food and toys. The next thing it did was put away any reminders of him. I was just carrying him in my shoulder the other night like a bird. And he was laying on my chest on the bed getting a rub down. He loved to be petted. I keep seeing him looking at me. Pretty stupid huh? Grown man crying over a stupid cat. Please no lectures about letting him out. David |
