Default Neighbors yellow female cat

She still comes over, a lot. Mostly in the middle of the night, I hear her distinctive little meow. She came by this evening. She smells like her owner bathes her and treats her for fleas. She's a nice little cat. Someday I'll get her a collar and send a note to her owner.

In other news, Petrie, my little sweet petite kitty, ran a big grey cat up a tree. The thundering sound of stampeding water buffalo came running toward me in the dark. I managed to turn on the flashlight in time to see the big cat climb the tree in fear of its life. I've never seen it before, or since. Petrie can be quite territorial when she wants to be.

Hondo was scheduled to be fixed, but didn't make it. He's been spending so much time with the yellow female, I decided to let him add his DNA to the cats in this area. His coloration is so good, with nice patterns. The local yellow cats are a dull yellow with barely any markings. And, as everyone knows, contraception is the females responsibility. LOL, that was a joke, don't hate me for it.

Hope everyone enjoys the Memorial Day holiday, if it applies to where you live, or enjoy the day, even if it doesn't. The rain finally stopped, so were supposed to have a nice day for it.

To say what exactly? Just wondering.

Aw. well done that girl!

Hondo was scheduled to be fixed, but didn't make it. He's been spending so
much time with the yellow female, I decided to let him add his DNA to the
cats in this area. His coloration is so good, with nice patterns. The

What do you mean "he didn't make it?" Are you serious about letting him
impregnate cats in the area for the sake of a coat pattern? FGS, how
irresponsible can you be? If he impregnates 5 females, that's upwards of 20
kittens to flood the kill shelters, and you have half the responsibility for
that.
Get that boy fixed. It's for his own good too, he will stay near home and
not get into the very serious fights that entire toms do. I always feel
sorry for entire toms, their ears get ripped, they get abcesses from bites,
they go off wandering for days. Do you want that life for Hondo?
Boyfriend has a lovely coat pattern too but I had him fixed. If you're
worried about the ouch factor, don't. 24 hours after his neutering he was
out hunting.

I won't reply to you again unless you tell me Hondo has been fixed - and be
truthful about it. Of course, you might be a troll, but I do have to try in
case you aren't.
Some time ago, a poor ginger entire tom spent a whole year sleeping nights
under my neighbour's open porch. It was at the time when KFC was still a
garden cat and I used to feed her outside. I often used to have to send him
away from her food for her sake and the upshot was that my neighbour found
the ginger cat dead in his orchard one day.
He was elderly. Poor chap I still feel guilty that I didn't put more food
out, but I didn't know he was starving.

So that's what can happen to the boys if you don't get them the snip.

He had a respectful burial under an apple tree. But it should not have
happened. And it will again unless *some* men stop identifying having their
male cats neutered with if it happened to themselves.

That's a terrible thing to do. You are condemning future generations to
neglect or the death penalty with that attitude.

In some cases I'm not sure THAT would be a bad thing! (Remember Lorena

It's easy for women to say "Snip the male", and it's easy for men to say " Fix the female".
Women probably secretly dream of whacking off the male genital, with a knife. :'(

That's an assinine thing to say. Time for you to go back to your zombie

It makes FAR more sense to neuter the male, IF you're doing just one.
AND it will help his health as well.

But MOST sensible is to neuter both males AND females.

Of course it does. Every pet I've ever had has been neutered, and I've
had a number of both males and females.

Yes, but sometimes females come into heat early at 6 months old and their
owners don't notice even though they intend to get them spayed soon.
I hate the idea that some people have, that if you have a male cat, don't
spend the money on getting him neutered as it doesn't matter. It does
matter.
Unless they are pedigree cats whose bloodlines need to be passed on, IMO,
both sexes should be spayed/neutered.
In the UK, if you cannot afford to have it done, there are charities that
will help with the cost. They advertise that fact in local newspapers every
day here so there's no excuse. Except laziness.
