Default To Many Cats??

I have always had about 4 cats, in the past few years, not to bore you
with all the details, I have gotten 5 more, in Jan. I took in 3 three
week old kittens, I found homes for 2 of them and kept one, which was
number 9. One of the kittens that I gave away, (and believe me I
questioned the heck out of these people) was brought back to me a week
ago, I am trying to find a home for her, she's 4 months old now and in
the mean time, I am getting attached to her, I know I can still give her
away, "if" I can find a good home for her.. BUT I really don't need
another cat... What do I do???? That would make 10 cats, my husband has
been wonderful, but.....

Well, guess I just needed to vent to other cat lovers, I'm just feeling
overwhelmed now, any thoughts?

Thanks, Aimee

If you are getting attached, then why not keep her if she is that special?

I just adopted #8, I realize sooner or later I'm going to have to say
no-more. I've said it in the past. First we started w/4, lost one, so I
started fostering, had one kitten, knew he was staying. Started fostering
litter of three - the runt was so sweet and was attached to my first
foster - "what's one more mouth to feed". Got another litter AND their
mother - kept mom. Lost yet another old guy and gained yet another foster.
Just fostered another and fell in love w/the one, he just became "permanent"
Tuesday. Oh I forgot about Bob, he was a "cage break" foster - been in
shelter for a year, why send him back when nobody obviously wanted an
un-perfect cat (he has neuro problems). So he's stayed as well.

I guess I would be the wrong person to ask.

Thanks guys for all the great response's, it's so nice to know people
understand how easy it is to fall in love with so many cats.
A lady called today that is interested the the little girl, she's coming
tomorrow, I praying it works out. Then I'll be back to 9 LOL If she
does take her but brings her back, then she's staying, I can't put her
through that again.

Thanks again, and God Bless,

Aimee

I would charge a small adoption fee and also write out an adoption contract
as well. This will weed out the serious people from those who are
happy-go-lucky looking for a free cat, That can only lead to hardship and
possible hurt for the cat.
