Default Pro Plan vs Fancy Feast?

For somebody who has done a lot of staring at cans, I didn't notice
until today that both Pro Plan and Fancy Feast are Purina companies.

Since both are marketed as premium and are comparable in price, I was
wondering if one is regarded as better? Or is the same thing just
labeled differently?

Some of the canned Fancy Feast and Friskies diets are lower in phosphorus
than any Purina diets. Purina One dry food has the lowest phosphorus of all
the Purina lines.

Here's a list of the Fancy Feast and Friskies diets that I find acceptable:

Fancy Feast Marinated Chicken Feast:.................0.09% (AF) - 0.40%
(DMB)
Fancy Feast Marinated Salmon Feast:..................0.13% (AF) - 0.59%
(DMB)
Fancy Feast Seafood Filets Tuna & Oceanfish in Aspic: 0.16% (AF) - 0.72%
(DMB)
Fancy Feast Minced Beef Feast:..........................0.17% (AF) - 0.77%
(DMB)
Fancy Feast Sliced Beef Feast:...........................0.17% (AF) - 0.77%
(DMB)
Fancy Feast Marinated Beef Feast:.....................0.18% (AF) - 0.81%
(DMB)
Fancy Feast Grilled Chicken Feast:.....................0.18% (AF) - 0.81%
(DMB)
Fancy Feast Grilled Tuna Feast:..........................0.18% (AF) - 0.81%
(DMB)
Fancy Feast Sliced Beef & Giblets Feast:......... .0.18% (AF) - 0.81% (DMB)
Fancy Feast Grilled Turkey Feast:......................0.21% (AF) - 0.95%
(DMB)
Fancy Feast Sliced Chicken Hearts & Liver Feast: 0.21% (AF) - 0.95% (DMB)

Friskies Fine Cuts With Real Chicken in
Gravy...............................0.15% (AF)-0.68% (DMB)
Friskies Fine Cuts With Real Fish With Ocean Whitefish & Tuna....0.19%
(AF)-0.86% (DMB)
Friskies Fine Cuts With Tuna In
Sauce...........................................0. 19% (AF))-0.86% (DMB)
Friskies Prime Filets With Chicken In

Friskies Shredded Chicken & Salmon Dinner in Gravy....................0.18%

Friskies Sliced Gourmet
Grill............................................. .............0.18% (AF) -

One of my cats is on IAMS kitten food, the other is on DM (which is a
Purina productc.)

My cat loves Purina Pro Plan. How much of a difference is there between
that an Purina One. Pro Plan is only sold in the specialty stores and
Purina One is in the supermarkets.

She loves Fancy Feast but because of the recurring sores on her hind leg
(from licking), I'm leery of giving her Fancy Feast. Don't they use more
preservatives than Wellness? From what I've seen most of their foods have
wheat gluten and corn which Wellness and Iams don't seem to have.
Unfortunately, my cat doesn't like Iams or Wellness. What do they put in
that Fancy Feast that makes cats love it so?

I've tried IVD prescription allergy food and she won't even go near it.
I think it was the venison formula.

My kids are all like crack heads for Fancy feast. They eat very
healthy expensive dry food but turn their noses up at ANY cat food
other than Fancy Feast.
Wonder what the heck it is that makes them crazy for it?

Canned foods generally don't contain preservatives because the food is
sterilized in the can and vacuum sealed.
