Default Barn kittens update 8 Mama trapped!

Guys, those purrs are so powerful. Thank you.
I just got a phone message. Christine set the trap baited with smoked salmon
last night. This morning the salmon was gone and the trap was empty.
She set it on a more sensitive setting this morning and baited it with
salmon again. Left the trap and came back to check about 45 minutes later
and found mama cat in the trap.
She's a gorgeous black shorthair, Christine says.
Anyway, she's at the vet's. I suppose that since she has eaten something,
that might complicate things.
Could she please have some more purrs that she will come through the surgery
without any problems? (Prayers are welcome also.)
I'll post more details as they are available.
Annie, happy dancing.

OMG! OMG!

That's great, wonderful news!!!!!!!!!!

We're purring for her spay, and hoping that she'll eventually become
reunited with her babies.

BTW, smoked salmon would probably have trapped me, too.

Thanks, Tak. The kittens are all going to homes where they will be able to
perfect their slave training skills on their very own hoomins. The mama cat
will go back to the barn, where she will not be having more babies and will
have someone to look after her. So, I suspect the reunion won't happen, but
they are all better off than they were a week ago.
Now we are hoping the surgery and vaccinations take place without
complications.

Thank you.
I don't have the details because we were shopping when Christine called and
left a phone message. She seems to have coordinated this whole thing really
well (not to mention lucky breaks), so I assume she has taken care of that
problem. I'll post another update when I find out more.
