Adopting a Cat
A woman who lives in my community died and she left two cats behind.
One is described as a 6 year old Orange Tabby named Buffy. She was a stray the woman took in. Not a feral, described as rather timid until she gets to know you then turns into a lap cat. The other cat (Frankie) was described as a male Flame Point Siamese. He was adopted from a shelter in Georgia and is about 6-7 years old. He's described as one who will follow the caretaker around and purr. I have a feeling that means he's rather vocal. G I said I'd be willing to take them on but I've only ever had a single cat. I wouldn't want to split them up if they are best buddies, but would you be willing to adopt them out separately? I got a phone call from the caretaker of the cats. She said she really thinks they'd be better off being homed separately. (Guess they aren't exactly best buddies.) So, tomorrow morning I'm off to meet Buffy to see if she likes me. I did ask if there are any vet records. I need to know if the cat needs a trip to the vet or required shots. Or any sort of special food. I really do want to know this before I adopt the cat. They don't have any vet records. (sigh) Anyway, looks like I might be adopting a cat. I hadn't planned on it quite so soon but since I was told they've been moping around since their owner died... yeah, I'll probably be trying to make a cat happy tomorrow. Jill |

Jill .... and hopefully you will be making yourself happy at the same time. You have a good heart, and you know you're doing the right thing! I hope your new cat will agree. Good luck. Jay |

Can't wait to hear more about her. I hope it works out! -- Joyce The heck with top and bottom -- I want relationships with strangeness and charm. |
