Default Purrs for my old gal...

Pooh Bear is my 16 or 17 y.o. gray calico. Her mission in life these days
is a half of canned food/meal (9 Lives Tuna) at 10:30 every morning. She
also like ice cubes in the water bowl. And the water must be fresh, fresh,
fresh. I don't think she misses Happy (my Basset Hound I put down this past
Nov. 1st). He slobbered and drooled in the kitchen water bowl, and she
hated it. I can't tell you how many times a day I would fill that bowl when
Hap was still with me.

Now for the purr request part. Pooh is looking pretty scruffy. And this is
the 3rd day that she hasn't plowed into her food. She's goes at, but she
doesn't finish even half of it. Other than that she seems right as rain.
I'm asking for purrs b/c this could mean that she's getting ready for her
upcoming journey. If she acts ill in any other way, I will take her to TED,
but I want to put it off as long as possible b/c she gets SO stressed out
when she has to go.

Purrsssss for Pooh, please!!! (TIA)!!

Purrs this is just a bend in the road for her and not nearing the end.

Purrs that all's well. Older cats tend to naturally eat less and less as
they age since they're getting more sedentary and don't need the calories to
burn. My Bandit slowly lost over 2 pounds in her teenage years, but, aside
from the inoperable brain tumor that finally got her, her health was fine.

I'm very sorry about Happy

Sending purrs for Pooh Bear to start eating again.

This is a clear sign you should take her to the vet ASAP. It doesn't
matter if she hates the trip. I'd rather see a cat stressed for what
amounts to a round trip car ride and an office visit than a cat that
is sick and miserable because a possibly serious/treatable medical
issue is ignored. A vet visit means diagnosing the problem and helping
her BEFORE things go south in a big way. Cats hide illness really well
and when it starts showing it often means it's a lot worse than it
looks. But that doesn't mean it's a death sentence. It could be
something treatable that will result in getting her feeling better.
Why wait? Putting this off could do unnecessary harm.
