Default Update on my Oscar boy...

I went to the vets and sat with Oscar for about 30 mins. It's odd, he did
not meow once. You could tell he was quite frightened, but in my Oscar baby
talk I was able to get him to do his lovey rubs on me and purr. TED wants
to keep him until Monday. I didn't want to hear that financially or b/c
it's so sad here without him, but doctor knows best. I also did quite a bit
of crying b/c I "felt" Pooh near by still. I even asked TED if I could've
kept Pooh a little longer. He said "sure, until she couldn't walk, or use
the litter box, or a bunch of other things that fail in very old cats". So
I guess I do feel somewhat better about making the decision about Pooh. All
I want now (desperately) is for Oscar to come home.

Maui continues to be very needy and Siamese yowls here and there. All I can
do is pay loads of attention to him and hope that he understands his brother
will be hope soon.

Thanks for letting me vent in here, everyone!!

Purrs for you both to get though the weekend without being too miserable,
and for a happy homecoming.

I will ask again. Why? Why would a vet want to keep a chronic diarrhea
case over a weekend when they are not open for full service and there
won't even be any one around? That's something to plan for during the
week if it was really necessary, and a diarrhea case is not something
that requires that kind of hospitalization. Something does not smell
right here. Of course, dealing with chronic diarrhea can be quite
inconvenient, especially when planning a move eh?
