Default Got Milk?

I swear, I can't open the refrigerator without Persia begging me for a sip
of milk. Most of the time when I go near the refrigerator it's to get a
glass of cold water. But she never stops hoping for a drizzle of milk. I
just got back from the grocery store and yes, I bought some milk. Persia is
always nosy about my groceries but after sniffing the flour and stuff she
walked off. I put the milk away before she realized I had some. I called
her. "Persia! Want some milk?" She ran to the kitchen. Oh, thank you.
She took two sips and walked away. Danged cat.

Sonny learned the "sound" of the milk container and lets me know if he
wants it or not. Before I pour, I tap the plastic jug the milk bag goes in
a few times with a saucer, then wait while he thinks (you can tell the
wheels are turning), and he either walks away or goes to his eating place
on the floor. Very handy.

Mischief went she decides its time to sit on my desk, if I have a
glass of milk, she becomes VERY interested.

She'll glance at it, and then sit next to it, and then look around.
Then back at the glass, with her head cocked. Then she'll look at me,
then back at the glass, then stick her nose in to SNIFF the milk, then
after a moment CAREFULLY put a paw in to get the tip wet, then pull it
back and lick her paw clean. Then repeat the dip, then lick.

And of course this is done in FULL view of me and right in front of
me.

sometimes i'll wait until she's reaching in to say her name in a
warning tone. Then if that doesn't work, I'll tap her on the head
with my finger.

And then there are those times where I'll give up and just let her
have some.

*******

And this is where animal people divide from non-animal people. You
finish the milk after she has some, right?

Sometimes its hard to remember to protect outsiders from the ick
factor.

Oh funny! Sneaker and I share a bowl of ice-cream all the time. He's
licking from one side and I'm spooning from the other. Whoever eats fastest
gets the most, and an ick factor never occurred to me.

Non pet-people (hard to believe there are such folks) would consider that
icky. No one here does, obviously Wasn't there a study done years ago
which pretty much proved the human mouth contains more bacteria than that of
dogs or cats? If you're not careful the PETA people will come after you for
letting Sneaker share that spoon with you! LOL

I'll just let the dogs at 'em!

That would be pretty funny if I could get away with it, and anyway, my dogs
don't have an aggressive bone between them.

Mia has taken up grooming them, it's very cute and the dogs are mortified.
I'll get pictures when I can, it's a must see.

I keep a glass of water by the side of the bed many times I've rolled
over to reach for the water and had to wait for Sarsi to finish
drinking from it before I can! Also if she wants my attention she'll
sometimes flick the water over me to wake me up!
