We did it here last week- I completely hate the clocks being messed
with! It always feels later than it is and for some reason it puts me
seriously out of intelligent thought for a few days- last Monday, I
got up, cleaned up a rather large pile of cat puke (not sure who was
commenting on the menu on offer!), emptied and washed out the water
and food bowls, put them down, filled the water dish...started to pour
out some kibble...realised the cats were giving me something of a
funny look...realised I was about to pour kibble into the water bowl!

I'm always the same when the clocks change

I have no idea why Kyla finds it necessary to remind everyone to change
their calendars or their clocks. We aren't 6 years old.

I must be 6 years old. My classic rock radio station is not into
public service announcements, and I haven't read a newspaper lately.

So I didn't know until I saw this.

So you're telling me your computer doesn't automatically reset the clock for
EST as opposed to DST? Are you still running DOS?! I don't need a net
"mommy" telling me what day it is, that's all. Mayhaps you do.

So I will say "thank you" to Kyla, rather than complain about a post you
don't have to read, or comment on.

Let's keep things friendly he is it really necessary to *complain*
about someone posting about a timely matter? (no pun intended, of
course..!)

Thanks, Gandalf, my thoughts exactly. And, btw, I didn't hear anything
about this weekend being the one to set clocks back (some Americans might
have noticed that we're about to have a major election, and that's all I
ever hear about), so I also appreciate the message.

Some people are just naturally bitchy, and they just feel better when they
offload some of that nastiness on others. And then we hear how "stressed
out" they are, as a (*constant*) excuse for bad behavior. Guess what? A
lot of us are stressed out. Look at all the crap Ginger-lyn has to deal
with. Yet I've never heard her say a mean thing to anyone.

It becomes an issue when every other post is either from or about
Kyla.

Personally, I find it condescending for someone to make a point of
reminding me of things any adult ought already to know.

The time of day, day of the week, and week of the month fall in that
category.

Wow, b/c I heard it about 1,000,000 times and it's preprinted on all of my
calendars and it's something I've always known how to do.

Kyla just needs to be heard. Bleh. And YOU, Joyce, need to think what some
of us might be going through.

What can I say? I didn't hear about it. And neither did my computer, which
usually does this automatically. Gandalf didn't hear about it, either.

As I said: many of us are going through difficult times. Nobody here has
an automatic pass to be nasty for no reason, I don't care what's going
on in their lives. Most people on this ng seem able to be civil even though
their lives are full of difficulties.

Don't have to in Arizona! (Just have to remember that now it's an hour
earlier in California than here, and only one hour later in the midwest.)
