and they are always very clear about their needs and wants, no guessing
either, "feed me" "pet me" "leave me alone", if humans took a lesson from
the cats there would be less divorce I am sure, soft

Wouldn't that be so very "human" of us? The lies and deception, I
mean.

Yes, my cats woke me up before 6:00 am this morning and I had to

get
up probably 3/4 of an hour earlier than I would otherwise to feed
them, but that did mean that I got the recycle stuff out to the curb
on time, and with daylight savings time upon us, it's just wise
preparation for the time change. So really Diana and Ryan were
looking out for my interests. They're very good that way.
When it comes to honesty, I think we should take a lesson from our
cats. I have never been lied to by a cat. Isn't that amazing.

Fred, I don't know if you realize it, but this whole thread isn't meant
to be serious. The cats used to have a Cats with Mean Mommies club and
this is kind of the opposite of that. The whole thing is meant to be
funny.

Well I knew it wasn't serious, but perhaps didn't catch the full
impact of the frivolity. I guess whether I'm serious or playing I
still come across as me. I saw it as a fantasy well enough, but
didn't connect with the humour very well, I guess.

OK. Nobody's perfect, except our cats (of course)!!!!!

One of my ideas of this was to discuss some of the things our cats
do that we don't want them to do (like jump on the kitchen counter
and turn on the blender, which one of mine did a couple weeks ago).

I'm kind of surprised that a lot of people didn't say that they
couldn't join because their "tyranical" cats wouldn't let them!!!!!

What's wrong with cats jumping on tha counter and turning on the
blender? There are some rules here in the Williams' house, butthey
only exist for the protection of the cats, like no jumping in the
oven when I take the bread out, and no jumping on the stove, (because
sometimes the burners are on and a kitty could get burned feet). The
counter and the tables and the appliances are all free territory,
even if they get cat hairs in my expensive stereo, I'll deal with it.
The poor kitties have a hard enough time, being kept in the IN all the
time and they get bored. That's why they spend so much time
sleeping. What else is there to do that they haven't done a hundred
times already? They ned all the "enrichment" we can allow them.

The cats aren't supposed to get on the counter because there are scary
things for cats up there! Like the blender!

Chester, Clarence and Nathan see Trudi and smell the can of wellness.

Hi Trudi. What's happening? Thanks for the food. Do you want some?

Chester, Clarence and Nathan dish out the food onto a large plate and
share it.

The thing that's wrong with them turning on the blender is that it
scared whichever one that did it!!!!! If it was Chester, he's so
scared of almost everything else that he doesn't need something else to
be scared of!
