I'm so glad Rascal is going to TED's.

Pam S. who has a lot of faith in the good TED Pam, I am so glad Rascal gets to go to TED. There is nothing worse than watching a cat get sicker and sicker without really knowing why. This happened after my sister died. My sister's son refused to help her old twelve year old cat because of the cost (even though he had been left heaps of money in her will!!!) One of my sister's cat-loving friends confided to me that she was seriously thinking of sneaking around to Myra's home to kidnap the cat and take him for treatment. Big Kitty was getting thinner and thinner. Finally I said I would pay for treatment and what did he do. Before I could act he took Big Kitty to the vet, refused a proper examination and had him put down! Sigh. This is why I felt upset when I read about Rascal. I do hope that something can be done for her, (lots of hope and purrs). Incidentally my sister had four cats at her home when she died. I rescued FluffySP, persuaded her other son (who has a cat loving wife) to take Billy Boy (one of Lois's cats), Big Kitty (deceased) and Street Kid a stray she adopted. Street Kid is still there Bev -- God may have created man before woman but there is always a rough draft before the masterpiece. |

Pam sorry this is a hurried post but I'm always getting shut down
on the comp; so big Purrs for rascal and prayers for her regards Jean P. "Tanada" wrote in message ... I'd hoped not to have to write this for several years. Rascal, Mandy's Boyfriend's (Jim) cat, seems to have started her trip to the bridge. She's 13 and not used to being a member of such a large cathold as ours is, so has spent most of her time on top of the fridge or on the microwave stand. We even put a litter pan up on top of the fridge so that she wouldn't have to share with the other cats, that's how "shy" she is. A couple of days ago, Rob noticed that she had lost some weight, and told me about it. I suggested that Jim and Mandy feed her canned and baby food by hand. She'd quit eating. I suggested today that we take her to the emergency TEDs, but her hoomin says no, to let her go. Rascal's health has been iffy since she was little, and the family is surprised that she's made it this long, but D*MN this bites. I've become fond of her rascallyness. She's ruined a toaster, destroyed a couple of books, peed in my silverware rack and made her presence known in a lot of ways, but she's had reason. So, Please purr and think TED thoughts, that we can either convince Jim and his family to let us take her to TED, or that they will. Personally, I agree with Jim that it looks grim and that she probably won't make it, but miracles have happened before and I'd like to try. Weeping, Pam S. |

I can't understand how anyone could treat animals that way (although I know it happens way too often), especially when the animals in question were loved by their mother. Glad to hear that a couple of the cats have good homes, but sad to hear that Street Kid is still under his care. -- Steve Touchstone, faithful servant of Sammy, Little Bit and Rocky remove Junk for email |
