Sorry. I spoke too soon. It was returned as undeliverable.

Hmmm... I'm almost positive that email (and web) addresses are not cap
sensitive. Anyhow, the address worked for me just fine.

Another bounced email here. Will wait for further instructions.....

LAL

It could be getting hit with virii and filling up. Then only some would get
through.

Karen

I e-mailed the "Catservant" address, and didn't get any bounce messages.
Pam, did my message get through?

If the problem continues, I set up an e-mail account on webfolks.us
named Catservant (accessable from
http://www.webfolks.us/cgi-bin/sqwebmail). Pam, if you'd like to use
that as a backup for your Earthlink account, just let me know and I'll
get the password to you.

It appears that I should have received a bounce message!

Pam, it looks like a problem does exist on Earthlink's end. I just
telneted into port 25 of Earthlink's mail server (the incoming mail
port) and attempted to send you an e-mail using the raw SMTP protocol.
When I specified the recipient e-mail address, the Earthlink mail
server replied:

220 penguin EL_3_9_5 /EL_3_9_5 ESMTP EarthLink SMTP Server Fri, 26 Sep

250 penguin Hello dan [63.203.102.168], please to meet you
mail from:
250
... Sender ok
rcpt to:

550
unknown

Based upon the last line, I'd say that Earthlink has a problem with
the setup of the Catservant account - like, they never did it!

I was very surprised to see a web address on a TV program that *was* case
sensitive, 99 times out of a 100 it's not.

ARRRGH!! I set up the account, but get no messages. This bites. OK,
send emails to my regular address, , make sure that
you have the email address that you want your list sent to, and the name
and address you want used in your email. I'll set up a separate list
for the Season's Greeting cards.

I was just about to ask about the Christmas list and if we were doing
it again this year... I LOVED all the cards I got last Christmas -
they really made my year.

So I gather that it's on again?

Yup, just send me an email at with your address and
email addy on it and I'll add you to the list. If you can't send, but
want to receive, please note that as well. I'll be posting weekly
updates, fingers willing, on how the list is growing. Right now I have
about 10 names, so we got a ways to go.
