Default Great Sailing Day in NW

Hello Bertie the Bunyip, Is there anybody in there? Just nod if you can
hear me. Is there anyone at home?

:: Yeah;
::
:: Conditions: Cloudy
:: Temp 64 F
:: Humidity 30% & building
:: Wind S12 mph ( Steady as a rock)
::
:: Maintained speed over hull rating on every tack. Never had to use the
:: engine once.
::
:: Raised the Main in the Slip and let the wind blow us out into the
:: waterway onto a port tack. Had engine idling in neutral but never
:: put it in gear. Sailed out on Main. Have to admit I was doing more
:: than 4 knots but no wake to speak of.
::
:: Out side the harbor unfurl head sail and shut engine down and sailed
:: ; "Like a Bat Out of Hell" Old Man tired easily after a couple of
:: hours. About 8 to 10 miles out but almost dead downwind to Harbor.
::
:: Hey Jon and Rusty; dropped the main into the Jacks with halyard still
:: attached and broad reach back to harbor with Jenny reefed to about
:: 90% . Gybed twice but made a cup of instant coffee an thought of
:: Scotty as Jazz and I sailed home. Right into the slip; still up wind
:: to a stop.
::
:: Put "Pneuma" to bed and stopped for an Oyster Hoagy and FF for Jazz.
::
:: Got home and my Lawn was cut. The End of a pretty damn nice day.
:: Thank You!
::
:: Not a Pacific Crossing but not bad for an old man and his Dog. Won't
:: bother you with any more day sails but had to get this one out of my
:: system.
::
:: Ole Thom

: Hiya Thommie! They let yu back did they?
:
: You were a baaaad boy talking to the bunyip, you know. You really
: needed that time out.

ganz has allowed him back as long as he stops enjoying himself replying
to "flonkers" but he's still on probation and ganz already has the draft
of an abuse report to webtv stored ready to go off just in case.

"My suggestion is to completely ignore idiots like Leland. They are the
lowest form of pond scum. People like him have tried unsuccessfully in
the past to disrupt the newsgroup. The best medicine is to completely
ignore them. As I'm sure you'll see, they're most intelligent response
is to yell nasty names. Other than that, they have nothing."

"Warning to all:
Steve Leyland is a trolling **** of the highest order. Killfile the
muppet now and move on. Even the briefest of searches on his past
UseNet posts will reveal the truth. You have been warned. *plonk*"

"I didn't delete any part of your meaningless, pointless, worthless
post in order to clearly demonstrate that you are the nemesis of
Usenet: the crossposting, non-editing, diagram-creating worthless,

slithering down the screen in vile green rivulets."

"I went to the Garden of Love,
And saw what I never had seen;
A Chapel was built in the midst,
Where I used to play on the green.

And the gates of this Chapel were shut
And "Thou shalt not," writ over the door;
So I turned to the Garden of Love
That so many sweet flowers bore.

And I saw it was filled with graves,
And tombstones where flowers should be;
And priests in black gowns were walking their rounds,
And binding with briars my joys and desires."

William Blake.

"When the Earth has been ravaged and the animals are dying, a tribe of
people from all races, creeds and colours shall put their faith in
deeds, not words, and make the land green again. They shall be known as
Warriors of the Rainbow, protectors of the environment."
