Default Rusty needs purrs again

This morning I woke up to find 'presents' on the floor again. Seems like the
spoonful of
canned pumpkin I gave him last night at bedtime didn't agree with his tummy.
He loves the pumpkin and has them for a long time.
He is going to TED this afternoon for his shots so I'll bring along a sample
of the 'present' and
a sample from the litter box.

We can use some purrs. This cat is giving me grey hair.

Lots of purrs -- could the meds he's been on have wiped out his intestinal
flora? Maybe you might want to take the sample in and wait on the shots
till he's feeling better.
good luck -- keep up posted.

Rusty has been finished with his med for a week now. I've been giving him
yogurt
which should help replenish his intestinal flora. The 'floor sample' has the
colour
of the pumpkin, so I think it is the pumpkin that upset his tummy.
Since my last post, he went to the box and left a normal looking poop.
I will consult with TED whether the shots should wait.

Pumpkin provides fiber which helps to pass any ingested hair. It was
recommendated over hairball remeday.
I read this in a vet's column. Rusty has eaten pumpkin for years with no
problem. But for whatever reason, it upset his tummy last night.
This morning I saw him went into the litter box.
When I checked, he had a normal BM.
I called TED's clinic and asked whether I should postpone his
vaccination. They said it should be OK so we will be heading to TED's
in 2 hours. I also asked whether I should let Rusty fast for a bit and they
was it unnecssary. To play it safe, I am taking a stool sample for exam.

soon!
