For real! I'm afraid if he keeps up his pace he's going to have an
aneurism. I really don't want to contribute to that. Besides, he's a
broken record and it doesn't change my mind any.

No doubt. Most people I know were told by their vet to feed SD. They
tried it and hated it (or their cats did) and switched to something
else.

Look G2, I'm going to try and say this nicely.

the rest snipped for brevity

Karen, I'm actually going to complement you here...seriously. This was
probably the nicest post you've directed my way. Glad to see that you can make
your point w/o being a jerk about it.

Yeah, and if he's like the vets I worked for, he receives gas grills,
leather jackets, and a myriad of other "stuff" commensurate with the
amount of Hill's food he pushes. It's a scam, pure and simple.

Ok, and your example here was disputed by somebody else (I don't recall who at
the time) who actually WORKS in a vet office and stated that drug companies
provided merchandise like that--NOT Hill's. I talked w/ a Hill's rep quite a
while ago and they stated that they specifically DON'T buy stuff like that. My
vet friend confirmed this by saying that he has drug companies offer
merchandise and other quality "spiffs" frequently, but Hill's does not.

Some of the other "goodies" include travel mugs, sports bags,
clothing, pens, post-its and other cheap promo stuff, cat supplies,
free food, etc. In fact, Hill's even gives free and/or low-cost food
to veterinary students. No wonder so many vets promote their
products.

Purina, IAMS, and others all do the same thing. Yet Hill's gets bashed. Go
figure. As for pens or post-it notes and other cheap stuff being a lure to
sell more food....where's the incentive for the hospital if the stuff is cheap
crap?

No aneurism for you guys! LOL I just don't get upset at ignorance or people
w/ crazy agendas! It's not worth it for me to get upset over someone else's
inability to refrain from knee-jerk emotionalism. It's quite the study in
sociology, logic, and debate to see how some here "back up" their opinions,
though! It's interesting that I seem to have had the exact opposite
experiences w/ people that I know changing their dogs and/or cats over to SD
and see an amazing turnaround once on it. But again, to each their own!

If you can tell me the pH of my cat's pee, I'll give you $100 right here and
now.

-L.
(What a joke. Does ANYBODY take this guy seriously?)

It wouldn't matter what my guess was, since you, yourself, don't even know! If
you do know, (and since you feed Nutro if would probably be a good idea to have
it checked) then perhaps you can post it for all of us to see. Then we will
have at least one example of how feeding Nutro may or may not affect the
urinary Ph.
