Does the canned food have much more fat than the kibble did? Surprisingly, last night I checked and the Purina ONE Chicken and Rice dry that we were feeding them has more fat (13 - 16.5%) than the Nutro Kitten (8% min) and Nutro Adult Science Diet canned (5% min). Nutro and Science Diet are 2 different brands....do you mix them together? Sometimes. We feed our kitten Nutro Kitten canned pretty much all the time (except when she finishes really quickly - we call her Hoover - and starts eating the older cat's food). She won't eat any other "premium" canned kitten food that you can get at Petsmart. Our adult cat eats pretty much Science Diet adult canned food, but sometimes we give her Nutro adult canned and sometimes we mix the two together if there's not enough left in one can for a full meal (or if she's being stubborn with one, we can put some of the other in and she'll eat it). brian -- If you want to reply to this message by mail, you will have to change the reply address to |

Why a "Whole Foods Market"? It's been awhile since I've been in one, but
last I checked...their foods were "no name brands"! Yes, it's been a while since you've been in one then. The Whole Foods stores in our city carry many "name" brands, not just their own. The one I go to regularly carries Wysong, Nature's Recipe, Lick Your Chops, Wellness, Spot's Stew, Solid Gold and Precise. I'll have to check it out again sometime! As for Nature's Recipe, they have artificial preservatives in their products. I saw a chemical analysis on their foods awhile back. They even claimed "100% All Natural" on the cat food that came back positive! LOL! I wonder who their "buyer" is and if they know the marketing games being played! (I think the whole "natural" marketplace is suspect anyway) |
