When it rains, it pours... (About my d*g)...

I had the bejesus (sp?) scared out of me this afternoon. I hear commotion
in my kitchen. I found my Chihuahua kinda "flopping" all about. I couldn't
tell if it was a limb hurting him or worse... a seizure. I immediately
threw on clothes and went to the Emergency Vet Clinic. The vet found
something wrong with Fabio's right hip. At least it's that and not
something neurological. He'll be on an inflammatory med for the weekend,
along with a pain pill. I can't tell you how scared I was. It's hard
living alone when something goes wrong with a beloved pet.

Fabio can't jump or be too active. I also have to walk him out for potty
breaks. Tomorrow is -2 degrees out. Of course he picked the coldest day of
the year for potty trips!! Oh well... I'd do anything for the little guy.

Fabio has an appt. tomorrow. If we went today, the other vet would have to
see Fabio. I want the regular vet to be in on this, so the appt. is at
2:00. I'm sure there will be x-rays. I just *PRAY* it's not hip
dysplasia!!

Glad it's nothing too serious. Usually my cats pick the day that the
vet is closed and I have to take them to the emergency$ vet.
