my cat keeps bringing home dead animals
I live in the country and my cat is left to roam free amoungst the
fields, although i think this is great for the cat it is not so great for the animals around it. It brings home, dead birds, rabbits, moles and mice. I know it is only doing what it believes is right, but it is very upsetting to find these dead animals on my doorstep. |

Actually, it's quite an honour to receive these little presents as it means
the cat is trying to share it's food with you but, if you don't like it, I don't think there's anything you can do about it to be honest. Our cats used to bring half dead animals into the house and then proceed to torture them to death. Nature's cruel and that's just the way cats are. Short of keeping the cat in all the time, there's no way to take the hunting instinct out of the cat as far as I know. Jeannie "jacqueline wright" wrote in message om... You're lucky to have the pest control. Our neighborhood used to have 3 outdoor cats but they've all left and now I'm having terrible problems with indoor mice. |
