Default chats en voyage

Bonjour.
Sylvie

I moving to Greece (island of Syros, Cyclades) with my three adult
cats in spring, and I currently live in the mountains of Switzerland.

I am terribly anxious for this voyage: mountain to Geneva (200kms by
car), plane from Geneva in Athens with possibly transit by Zurich,
arrival with the airport then transport towards Pirée, then boat from
Pirée to Ermoupoli (capital of Syros)....

How can I prepare them? Did somebody already experience a similar
situation and how that it occurred?

Thank you for your answers, English, Greek, Italian or French.

Well Sylvie, moves like this go on every day, and I'm sure your cats
will survive it - though I doubt they will enjoy it very much.

My first advice would be to speak to your vet. He can advise you on
the best sort of cat carrier to use and may recommend a mild sedative
for the cats to take before the journey starts. You also need to think
about feeding them on the route.

One bit of advice I can give. put at least one item of your clothing,
worn so it carries your personal smell, in the carrier with each cat -
I've found that helps them feel a little less stressed.

I hope this helps you.
