I am so sorry for your terrible loss.

I am glad that she lived to a good age with you, and was not taken
early, as so very many cats are.

But I also know that does not make this any easier or any less painful
for you, in the very least.

I know I am late, but I have lit a candle in my very special candle
holder for her. The candle holder is in the shape of a sleeping cat,
curled around where the votive type candle goes. It will burn all might
long for your dear Tinuviel.

I hope her passing was peaceful, and I wish, perhaps even more, that
there was something I could say that would ease your grief at her loss.

But there is nothing, except the understanding of one who has
experienced this loss and grief, and, to some extent, shares it with
you.

I too was blessed with a very, very wonderful and special cat once, and
she live to age 16 years as well, although she blessed me with her
presence for only 15 precious years. It has been over 8 years, and I
mourn her still.

I hope your grief is soon replaced with your happy memories of your many
years together.

Thanks, Yowie. You're right, I'm the one who took it the hardest.
After Zildjian crossed four years ago, I spent the last three years on
aquarium adventures. I thought I was trying to prepare my daughter,
who is now 7 years old. As it turns out, she is taking it all very
well, with normal sadness and a fairly clinical interest to boot. But
I never thought that I was the one I was preparing all this time!
Didn't work, I'm afraid. I've lost three cats of my own before, not
counting my family cats when I was a kid, but this one took the wind
out of my sails.

Little (not any more) Muezza.Glorio is having a difficult time of it
as well, poor boycat. He's only two, and she was the fixture in his
little life too. He kept vigil with her all day on the last day of
her life, and now he keeps hiding in the walk-in closet, sitting right
next, but not on, her favorite hiding spot. I wish I could just sit
there with him, too.
