Today a 6 month old boy kitten went to the Rainbow Bridge. My son and the
girls got in the car, revved the engine a couple of times, honked the horn and began to back out. Mighty Mike, a beautiful tuxedo cat ran right under the wheel as the car moved. The girls were upset and blamed Dad. I let it go on for an hour then went down and had a rough Gamby talk with them. Explained that bad things happen but you can't always find someone to blame. I asked, were you in the car, did Dad do what he usually does, doesn't it usually work? Last but not least, I asked did YOU GUYS see the cat? This is what got home to them and they settled down a bit realizing they hadn't seen it either. Please purr for a grand welcoming for Mighty Mike at the Bridge, he was such a cutie. |

I'd put up a candle site for him, like I just did for Biddy, but it didn't look right in the URL.. Glad you gave them a talking to. Cats should be kept indoors to keep such horrible things from happening. Bless your heart, Granby Love Kyla |

I feel awful for you son and for the girls. I'm sure Mike is already reminding the old and tired cats that arrive how to be young and how to play again. They will get to where they see that their dad feels at least as awful about what happened as they do, and needs their love and understanding now too. I'm glad you are able to help them to get there. But you're right, accidents do happen, and they're not always anyone's fault. I'm glad you helped your grandkids to see that. Your poor son. Purrs for Mighty Mike. I just hate stories like this. -- Joyce ^..^ (To email me, remove the X's from my user name.) |

When you feed stays and they have babies, it isn't always possible to keep
them in. We get them "fixed" as we can but, sometimes there are just so many, they come and go. Our little town seems to be a dumping ground for cats. We have no shelter in our immediate area and, the one down the road only takes strays from their county. "Kyla =^. .^=" wrote in message . .. Someone please inform Kyla a cat dying due to an accident isn't exactly the appropriate time for the indoor/outdoor cats soapbox. Bless you for feeding and taking care of them as you do, Granby.
