I still haven't seen any indication that the kids were sitting on the
fence. If they were, they should have been told not to. It was a
horrible thing, for everyone involved. Evidently, the fence and moat
had proved adequate for big cats for a long time but it turned out it
wasn't. Cats are marvelous athletes and Tatiana was tragically so.
