What is carmax? Sounds like a gasoline additive or something.... would I
find it in an auto parts store?

it is a lip balm, in a little pot, pretty pricey, when I was very young I
ended up with sunburn so bad it split my lip, then the band teacher said
play or not in the band, so my mom let me decide, and I used it religiously,
now I just have one permanent scar that in summer isn't very noticeable, I
consider it magic, Lee

it doesn't seem to help. Here it is a week later and it's still agonizingly
painful. What can I do to make it heal faster?

Suggestion:See a good dermatologist. I once hit my upper lip
accidentally and got a blood blister on the inside of the lip. It
didn't seem to improve in time so I went to a dermatologist and told him I
had a hemorrhoid on my lip. He said that was exactly what it was. He cut
it out, stitched it close and it healed just fine. Good luck. MLB

Its a lip balm, but one of the better ones. It comes in a yellow container,
with I think red lettering. Should be right next to the chapstick and
blixtex, etc. I think it comes in a couple of forms, and the one in the
small tube might be more painless to apply to your poor lip.

I think its as good or better than Burt's Bees products and not quite as
expensive.

Burt's Bees, huh... makes me think about the time I got stung on the lip by
a wasp!

I don't have any hints for you, but I do hope you're feeling much better
by now.
