Default Purrs for Weebs, please.

A year and a half ago we found a lump on Weeble's left rear leg - TED
removed it and he had an incision as long as my index finger with 14
staples on it. The lump turned out to be a liposarcoma (fatty tumor). It
was a rather large lump (about 1/2 the size of a ping-pong ball), and I
was rather mortified that we didn't notice it sooner. Well, there's
another one. This one about the size of a pea... seems mostly "squishy"
with a bit of a hard section on it. And it's hard to find... it depends
on the position of his leg, and it seems to move, but I can't tell if
it's moving with the skin or the tissue underneath. Don't know if this
is scar tissue (there is no visible scar (at least that I can see)) or a
repeat of before. He doesn't get shots in that leg any more.

TED is taking the lump out today...

Last time he shredded any cone-o-shame we put on him, but didn't bother
his leg (we checked often)!

Can I have some purrs that this is just scar tissue?

Persia sends mega purrs to her preshus Weebs. And I'll do my version of
purring that it's nothing at all to be concerned about.

Thanks everyone for the purrs. He came home late afternoon, still woozy
so was locked in one of the dog's crates (dog was relegated to sleeping
on the sofa) until just a few minutes ago as he was crying to be O U
T... I brought him into the office with me, where there is food, water,
and litterboxes. He has eaten, and now he is protesting being locked in
here!

About the lump: TED thinks it is more of the same, but will not be
sending it to the lab (and costing us more $), but it was *much* smaller
and not in exactly the same spot. The incision is about 1/3 of what it
was last time and they used glue to seal it (stitches on the inside that
will get absorbed as he heals).

Well, I just caught him licking his leg, so back goes the cone, but this
is a soft, made of fabric, cone, not a hard plastic one) and after a few
minutes of walking backwards in an effort to get it off, he seems
resigned to it, but is tolerating it much better than the hard cone - he
is sitting up and not all cowering and crouched like with the hard cone.

I'm so glad it turned out to be nothing much more than a little
unpleasantness for Weebs. But lots of worry for you.

That soft cone sounds like it would be easier to accept, for sure.

Continued purrs for sweet Weebs and all your clowder
