Default Purrs for TED Visit on Friday

Smudgie has developed bad breath over the last few days and is off her food.
She had some sore gum issues a few months ago but she won't let me anywhere
near her mouth to see whether they have flared up again. From what I have
managed to glimpse they do look red at the back. I have decided to try a
new vet clinic that has opened locally after hearing very good reports about
it. Smudgie has a deep hatred of the vets (I have scars to prove it!) and I
always get really anxious about it beforehand. I am hoping there is a
slight possibility that a shorter car journey and change of scene might fool
her into behaving herself a bit better! Who am I trying to kid? lol By the
time we got to the old vets (which was only a 20 minute drive) her mieows
had turned into constant howling and she was practically hyperventilating!
I tried "Feliway" and covering her carrier but nothing helped. The new vet
is only a 5 minute drive away and we shouldn't have any traffic jams to
contend with. When I rang to register her I warned them first that she
really misbehaves and "fights and bites", luckily they are still happy to
see her.

I could do with lots of purrs that she likes the new vet, they like her, and
we manage to get through the appointment without her behaving like a Banshee
or drawing blood at least!

Thank You
Sharon

Purrs on the way that she (and you and the vet!) will come through the visit
unscathed.

Bunches of prayers and purrs and whatever else is needed are on the
way for Smudgie to be extra well behaved on the way there and while
there!!

Purrs for a quiet well behaved Smudgie (or more realistically purrs
that no major arteries are opened)

Our "nightmare at the vets" was Fugazi (RB) on the occasion of her
spay they had to use a double dose of anaesthetic to knock her out and
before they did she drew blood from 3 nurses and the vet! They didn't
have to tell me she was not going to live much longer when I took her
to the vet's and apart from a rather feeble swipe she surrendered.....

Go Smudgie Go. Purrs for calmness at the Vet and a good (and
relatively inexpensive) dental cleaning.
