Yup, Jazz will go with me into the bathroom everytime I take a shower. He
will sit patiently on top of the clothes hamper, sometimes peeking around
the shower curtain to make sure I am still there.
When I'm done he will help dry me off

Scout and Silver take it in turns to escort us to the bathroom. If you
close the door to keep them out they lie on the other side and poke
their paws through underneath... they REALLY want to be in there, so
they can walk in circles around you, rub against your legs, demand
pets, and in Silver's case, meow loudly until you pick her up and
perch her on your shoulder!

Actually Silver hadn't done that to me yet... she usually reserves
that action for John when he comes home from work. But a few minutes
ago she decided that I needed a feline escort, and she went
MEOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! until I reached down and scooped her up and let
her sprawl on my shoulder, where she purred contentedly. And I had to
stay put until she was ready to get up, when she watched the water
swirl around the bowl and then investigated the mirror kitty from the
comfort of my shoulder.

Yep, it's official... I'm kittypecked

Shroder always escorted me. And after we moved, Libby began doing it
also. It was interesting watching the 2 of them wander in and check
me out.
Now the Shroder is gone, Libby does all by herself. She will jump
up and run into the bathroom ahead of whoever is going in there, and
then sit in front of the toilet waiting.

I don't know what the attraction is, but mine all are really *right there*
even if they have been asleep when I go in. If guests come, and close the
door, they are really puzzled and meatloaf outside. I suppose offering
support.

My kitty, Mindy (
http://steve-and-pattie.com/mindy/index.html#top), is
always there when I am, and I take the opportunity to pick her up and
get some kitty-hugs, generally with purrs. Mayby I should list this
among he interests and hobbies on her web page, but I'm not sure how to
explain it.

Hello Steve! Mindy looks like she needed some loving up. You could list this
as Waste Management Duty

Mischief does this especially. I'll be on the throne and she'll come
in and start rubbing, begging to be scritched.

Imp will occasionally come and investigate, but he's more interested in
escorting my roomie when she's in her bathroom.

Also, since all doors are NOT to be closed, and normally the bathroom
door will be closed, Imp will sit and scratch at the door, until it
opens or he shoves it open.

Once I was taking a relaxing bath when suddenly I noticed the lighting
in the bathroom had changed. A shadow from the door obscured the light
as it slowly was pushed open. For a split second I was scared, but
then I see Imp sitting on the other side, with his innocent look.

You mean there are cats who DON'T visit you in the bathroom? Pine Cone
loves to climb in the shower with Amanda and get her to spike his fur.
I've climbed out of the shower and found four cats sitting in the
bathroom door staring at the crazy wet hoomin. They also love to come
in and get pettins while meowmie is occupied. Tanada used to love to
sit in Rob's underwear when he was parked on the john. She's over it
now, but I suspect Rob misses it at times.

Yep, Cali is deathly afraid of water. Although she's gotten better due to
Smokey's influence. Smokey likes to hop on the counter and watch the water
swirl down the Loo. She's also got a think for drinking out of the tap/sink.

LOL! Isadora (RB) used to do that, and now Nina does, too! Of course,
Murphy's law being what it is, I always seem to get a phone call when I'm
doing my business. I was in that situation when Nina was curled up down
there, and she was NOT enthusiastic about moving. Fortunately, it was my
mom, and she laughed her head off when I explained "I missed your call
because I had to get Nina out of my pants..." and described the
circumstances. Can't say that to just anybody!

Sounds awfully familiar - both mine figure anytime they find a hoomin
sitting they should be in for a good scritch, and that include hoomins
in the bath. Sammy sometimes takes the opportunity to climb up on said
hoomin's shoulder so that she can open up the above the toilet
cupboard and take a nap on the towels. When Sammy is prevented from
following me into the bathroom (I usually shut the door when I take a
shower) I often find several bottle caps which she has shoved under
the door when I step out of the shower.
