Talking to my folks over the holiday, it seems that things could change
radically this year for my dad. He may be asked to leave Washington DC
earlier than he origionally thought (which was Oct 2006) so that his job
skills can be used back in Europe by his employer. He is no longer
planning to retire then as he was going to but has ecided to keep
working for a few more years.

Consequently, my folks and I have decided to fly Robbie back to the UK
early so that he's not too disrupted by all the changes and all the
travelling back and forth to the UK that my folks will have to do in the
next 6 months.

When I say early, I mean as in the next 2 weeks! Robbie is going to fly
unaccompanied on Virgin Atlantic Airlines under the pet passport scheme
into the UK, so he won't have to do quarantine - probably on 11th
January, for me to collect him from Heathrow on 12th January. YIPES!

We've chosen Virgin because they have the best pet safety record for
handling animals, and they treated Pandora and HRFL exceptionally well
when they flew home 2 years ago. The paperwork is a nightmare however.

Purrs for things to go very smoothly would be very appreciated. Extra
special purrs would also be appreciated that my little ginger boy cat
makes the trip safely and in one piece.

I'll keep everyone updated, but it seems that the international
traveller is on his way home...... until New Year 2007... when he'll be
off with my dad to his new job posting in Europe. )

You got it, Helen. Purrs for a safe journey.

Blimey, is he THE most travelled cat in the world?////

No, I think that Britta's Vino is up there in airmiles with my 3! He's
done Catnada, Thailand and will do Australia... mine have done Europe,
America, Belize, America and Europe....

And mine pitch a fit about visiting TED, about 20 minutes away from us.
However there is a mythical band of feline pirates who are on their third
trip around the wurld.
