Just read about what is really in cat food

Diseased parts ARE used.

This is NOT happening (in the US). Meat is rejected by inspectors.


Maybe for human consumption, but NOT for petfood. Wake up and smell the
coffee, Gaubster, or in this case, diseased carcases.

Do you have any proof?? Or is this just your opinion?

Because I've researched them rather vigorously and I know for a fact that

You're right. Meat is inspected for human consumption, NOT for pet
foods.
It is inspected and past as fit for human consumption or condemned.
Condemned material is used in pet foods. The person posting the
statement that the meat is rejected by inspections also stated that
pet food ingredients were regulated by the USDA/FSIS. Below is a
letter I received from this department today. Also, as this person
also suggested, go to the website of the USDA/FSIS and type in pet
food. What you will find is "Condemned Product Save for Pet Food,"
and Inedible Product Salvaged for Pet Food."

processing plants that produce products for human consumption only.

And "NO" FSIS does not inspects or oversees any ingredients used in
commercial pet food.

Apparently Hill's doesn't have a basis for a lawsuit. I believe they were
named in Ms. Martin's book and they haven't sued her. Kinda makes you wonder

Hill's, along with other pet food companies are mentioned in my books
and as yet none of these companies, including Hill's have chose to
take any action. I have to question why. If, as this person
purports, Hill's or any of the other companies do not carry on the
practices I've outlined then I am sure legal action would be taken to
clear their name. This person has no idea what is in my book or they
would be aware that everything is documented by government agencies,
veterinarians, PhD's, veterinary journals, research papers, meat
inspectors, V.P's of rendering plants, etc. etc.. I would welcome a
lawsuit by any of these companies but the industry knows darn well
that a lawsuit would bring to light what is happening within this
industry.
