Default Get Your Furry Butt Home, Fedders!

Purrs needed. I saw my neighbor outside and she was calling and calling
for Fedders. She said he's been sick with a respiratory infection for
almost a month. He's had multiple vet visits, been treated with two
different antibiotics. His nose was all stopped up so he hasn't wanted
to eat. Not even the juice from water packed tuna tempted him. (He's a
fiend for people tuna.) An appetite stimulant seemed to help.

She said today he ate and drank and seemed to be feeling better. When
she sat outside this morning she let him out with her. Now she can't
find him. She's worried. I haven't seen him.

GYFB home purrs would be appreciated.

Oh, I hope he's OK! He goes out pretty regularly, though, doesn't he? I
know it's more worrisome because he's sick, so GYFBH!! This is not a time
to play a BCT.

Roxy has chronic problems with her nose and I think her sense of smell
isn't so great. There might be scarring in there due to years of the
herpes virus. She's a very fussy eater - it's hard to get her to like
something. My theory is that she isn't as interested in food because
she can't smell it very well. To help her smell the food, I microwave
it for a few seconds (making sure to stir the food afterward so the heat
is evenly distributed), and that seems to help a lot. Maybe your neighbor
could try that?

Purrs for him to return ASAP!

Yes, both of her cats go out all the time.

I'll suggest it, although she said the appetite stimulant seemed to help.

Purrs for him to return ASAP!

I'll check with her later today. He still hadn't come back last night.
