when i moved here over two years ago, i set this chair up for the cats
with pillows and a soft blankie. for over two years, they ignored it
completely. now suddenly, it's the bestest seat in the house

Caliban looks like he's telling Miranda to get off his back.

I am generally a very impatient person. There are, however, a few
exceptions to this. One is driving. The other is when I put something
together for a cat. I really want them to like what I made but if it takes
a long time for them to find it and then they like it there is an extra
charge for me. So far the new guys have found most of the places I setup
for them. I am still waiting for them to discover the hammok on the lower
level of the cat tree. So now you got a little fun with something you
setup 2 years ago! There is a long term investment for you.

ROFL! I know how that is. Suddenly something that has been here forever
is "NEW"! Our cats LOVED to sleep in butterfly chairs when I was
growing up and we had one. I loved to beat on their bottoms through the
canvas. Pat pat pat!

They certainly seem to like it now. Was catnip involved?

Awwwww... so cozy on the chair in the winter. Caliban always looks
slightly goofy (in the nicest possible way!) to me :-) Like he's just
about to do something silly and kittenish. And Mir ... well, she just
looks like artwork come to life (but don't tell her I said that).

oh, better that way around. back when i could still get *out* of this
chair, i used to sit in it all the time, but frank would come and
sharpen his claws on the bottom while i sat there - ouch.

forgotten i set it up for them originally.
