Default Hen talk (not OT)

Okay, okay...

Getting used to the variety of sounds made by a chicken. But until I got a
couple of ex-batts, I never realised that chickens purr. They can make a
noise that is just like a cat's purr, but a bit higher pitched.

So what's that one mean then? Have I got a couple of hens that think they
are cats? Has Francis been giving them lessons in how to talk in a more
acceptable language? He spent quite some time sunning himself, stretched
out, baring his belly to the air, alongside the chicken run yesterday.

chicken like many birds can and do mimic, my sister raises chickens and it
always unnerves her when she hears them making another bird's noise, Lee
