I have a cat who constantly licks himself... is there a reason for
this? He licks his neck and arms and I am quite worried. Axel |

I'd recommend getting him in to see a vet soon. If it's caused by irritation, the vet should be able to help. If it's stress-induced, the vet might be able to offer suggestions. Have you recently changed anything in the cat's environment? Any new animals, new family members, new furniture, etc? |

When Jeannie was waiting in the shelter to be adopted, she was so unhappy
that she licked whole bunches of furr off her cute tumme! She has been with us for 2 years now (actually more than that since she was with Gwen in Alabama before she moved back here) and she has stopped licking herself, the fur has grown back and she is just one happy little kittie! Sooo, I would say your little kitty just needs love, reassurance and kind words! Of course, it might pay to have the vet check for skin problems, but I'll bet it clears up all by itself.'
