Settling down stomach purrs are requested for my boycat Andy. He did a
hairball around 1 pm this afternoon. He vomited for an hour or so after
that but nothing came up since his stomach was empty. This is not
uncommon with him and hairballs. Usually his stomach is upset for a bit
afterwards. He drank some water about 15 minutes ago but it came back up
right afterwards. I am keeping a close eye on him, and if things don't
improve an emergency vet visit tonight or a visit with my normal vet
tomorrow will be in order. Thanks.

Cats' stomachs are very sensitive, as I'm sure you know. But it's
still very worrying to see them barfing for such a long time,
especially if they can't keep water down. I hope he's just having
some feline version of indigestion, or maybe ate something that was
a bit off. Purrs for him to feel better soon! And that you won't
have to rush him to the ER vet.

It sound like he has a sensitive tummy, and it needs time to feel
better.

He probably needs hydrating, though; I would try *small* amounts of
water spaced at least 30 minutes apart. This should help to keep it
down.

Emergency vets are SO expensive; I hope it doesn't come to that.

Purrs that he feels better, soon.

Purrs that it is a minor problem and, if it's not, that he recovers
well anyway.

Thank you everyone for the purrs. Andy is doing much better now. He
drank and ate a bit around 5-6 hours ago but it came back up. An hour
ago he drank and ate alot more than he did hours before. He was able to
keep at least half or more of it down. So he is improving, and getting
better. At least he has eaten something and kept most of it down which
is was really concerned about. I'll keep an eye on him during the night
from time to time but he is better now.
