She almost always is asleep on the laptop in John's office, or on the arm of the couch in my office all day long. We don't know if she is pulling a BCT because she figured out we are going to take her to TED; if is really ill and has gone off because she just figured to die (no! please no...); is stuck somewhere that we don't know about (though we checked all the usual suspects for that); or is getting senile; or what! So we could use "get your furry butt HOME, Princess!" purrs, please. Thank you. Deborah slave to the gang of eight I hope she is just hiding in a particularly good spot, which you will soon discover. Purrs sent for her speedy return! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ^..^ "Life without cats would be only marginally worth living." -TC, and the unmercifully, relentlessly, sweet calico kitty, Kenzie. You have your hoomin worried about you Puuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrs Hug Kyla. "Phoenix" Princess, our 16-year-old Siamese, had started losing weight, so we have an appointment for her with TED (thinking it is most likely a dental problem). UPDATE Could we have "Get your furry butt home" purrs for Princess, please?
It's Wednesday evening, almost 48 hours since we last saw Princess.
We have looked EVERYwhere, even in places she could not possibly have gotten, just in case. Not at the neighbors's (not that we have many), not on our property, not in, around, under, or on the house... No Princess. John is frantic. I'm more resigned at this point, but still hopeful. Tomorrow morning, he will call to cancel the vet appointment, in hopes that she will come back then and he can corral her and re-do the appointment. Keep fingers, paws and eyes crossed! Thank you for all the purrs so far. In all the cats we've had over the years (I think I once counted up nearly 30, with a maximum of 13 at any one time, some fosters, some roommates' cats, most ours), we have had only ONE disappearance...and that was Persephone the Psycho Cat, who we were not particularly unhappy to have lost. We think she just found a place she liked better. But Princess! We've had her since she was a kitten 16 years ago, and while she's always been an approach/avoidance kitty ("Pet me! but don't touch me!") and gotten all pointy when you try to pick her up (but is fine if she comes up on her own), she's always loved it here. The last several years, she has rarely gone out of the house. It's nearly inconceivable that she would choose to wander off for someplace better, unless (like KFC) she is getting confused...in which case we need to find her ASAP and make sure she stays safe. Again, thanks for the purrs. It is much appreciated. I will update again when I have more news. Deborah slave to the gang of eight (we hope!) |

Sorry I missed the FBH call for purrs so we're sending them now. It does rather sound as if she's started to wander through confusion as KFC also hadn't gone outside much for a couple of years. If so, you will have to keep actively searching for her rather than expect her to come home, I'm afraid. I do hope you find her soon - I know only too well what it feels like. Tweed I |
