I have had a similar experience with my female, she started hissing at
everything after losing her eye-sight to old age. Whenever she would
bump into a toy or a piece of furniture she would start with the
hissing. I had the veteranarian to remove her tounge to stop the
hissing, he said it was the best thing to do. She is very happy now
and doesn't get hairballs either, but I have to clean her daily.

My cats aren't even that old and my mother in law certainly isn't old
either.. geess how old do you think I am stupid troll? I'm only well in my
late 20's anyway. We were married when we were 21 and my husband's mother
in quite young. Why am I responding to you anyway? I should just ignore
everything you say anyway.. to begin with.
