Harvey got a new toy.

I bought him a new toy on Friday. It is called a Birdie on a tether,
made by Hertz, and is this little weighted ball, with a feather
attached to a little stick, stuck in the middle. It is impossible to
knock over and when Harvey swats at the feather, the little stick spins
around out of his reach.

Now I am officially on Harvey's bad slave list. He gets so mad when he
can't catch the "birdie" that he takes it out on me. I tested this
theory by holding on to the stick so that he could catch the "birdie"
as long as I did this I was spared the attack of sharp claws on my leg.
If I did not hold the stick then after a few moments of trying to catch
the "birdie" he would turn and attack my leg by wrapping his front
claws around my calf and bunny kicking my feet, should I try to
dislodge him he would Velcro his self to my forearm doing the same
thing.
I finally had to hide the toy which ticked him off even more. He
scratched deep cuts into the Rubbermaid tote that I hid it in. After a
half hour of random attacks on me, I gave it back fearing for my life.
LOL.
The compromise we came up with is to shut Harvey and his new toy in the
master walkin closet and let him play until he meows to come out.
