RPCC webpage ideas

The threads and posts are scattered all over the blasted place on this,
so I wanted to start a new thread that will be *entirely* devoted to
ideas for an RPCC web page... ideas as to content... name... etc.. If I
have time this weekend, I will go through RPCC's recent posts and gather
all the ideas and repost them in THIS thread (unless somekitty else
wants to do that) so that we have a central place for any and all ideas
related to a community website.

PLEASE... for the love of Bast, I beg you, kitties... PLEASE, if the
thread goes off on some tangential idea, rename the thread at that point
so that we can keep the central theme of the thread (an RPCC history
website) intact as much as possible.

Also, I was thinking of name ideas, and I have one for y'all...

www.clowder-history.(whatever... org, info, com, etc. [I *personally*
feel the domain should be .info, since this will be an informational
website about RPCC's history and the history of the kitties who've
posted to the group over the years]. I don't mind .org, either, because
I do loosely view RPCC as an organization)

I can say that rpcc should be in the name no matter what else it has, and I
am very fond of pounce because its so little known.

sections of the site should be
-links to current sites like the walk that pertain to us as a group
-a section for any cat or hoomin that has a site about their cats
-a section for cat related sites that aren't necessarily about us or our
families but cat related like flippy's cat page or some of the university
vet sites.
- a list of the houses and their members. emails that are active if we want.
- a section for product reviews of products relevant to cats and their
care... for example, litter mate or no mark or the different enzyme
cleaners. or things like zoom groom or the blow dryer for long haired cats.
- a section for tips like using a black light to find cat urine. or the
uses of pumpkin for litter issues.
-a section for story history, either a synopsis of a story or a compilation
of posts.
- a song book section with division for holiday songs, ball songs and club
songs.
- there could even be a tribute section where the first post of a tribute
was made and then other tributes for the same cats, with some editing so
that if the post is just commenting on the beauty of the tribute but not
adding to the knowledge of the cat it could be edited.
- a family tree that either was by house or something... not sure how to do
that one.
- a biography section of hoomins and the cats that own them if we want.

can you tell I don't feel well and have done little but sit around and think
in my fuzzy way today,

Somewhere there is a "spaghetti bowl" of cats showing family, winks, and
such. It was very cute to see the lines going everywhere. Showed we're all
interrelated somehow. I suspect it hasn't been updated for years, and many
of the cats on it are at the bridge now, but that's just one idea of how
that could be done if the originator wouldn't mind.. I have no idea where
it is, but I'll see if I can find out if it still exists..

I almost said that, but wasn't sure. It was sooooo cute. I think there
were different color lines for different relationships or something. Gosh,
I have such a bad memory anymore.

Okay, here's thuh storee (straight frum Auntie Melissa, before I furget).
Rememfur, owr Phoebe had thuh four kittens, Patrick, briar, bramble & Lissa.
Patrick went tu liff wiff Auntie Annz an briar rose & bramble berry went tu
liff wiff Auntie Micki. Here's Auntie Melissa's eggsplanashon bowt thuh
spaghetti bowl.
"Azad did it. He was all a-fluster over whether he was related to his
secret crush Bramble Berry when her brother was adopted by Annz. His
adoptive dad was Christofur, so Patrick became his uncle. He said something
like "it's a plate of pasgetti", in reference to the family relationships,
and made the graphic to help get things straight."

That is incredibly cool. Melissa has such a good mind. Who else could have
possibly created this? Heck, I couldn't even have imagined it.
