We spend more time with them than we do with many human family members, and they give us floods of unconditional love , in return. ANd they leave couches, beds, and sunny windowsills so empty when we lose them. I was sobbing out in the vet clinic's parking lot when I had to send Isadora across the Rainbow Bridge, so I sincerely empathize with your sadness. Melissa
