Default Hi Mom, I'm home!

We had a fairly successful week with DH finishing 3rd in his national
championship race with the Sports Car Club of America at MidOhio
Sportscar Course in Lexington, Oh. The weather was terrific for the most
part and visiting with friends was a lot of fun. Of course I missed my
babies but called regularly to check on them. My brother in law came in
every other day to fill food and water bowls and to play with Hobbes
(the only one who will come out of hiding). EXCEPT!! I called on Monday
to see how everyone was and was told that Selena stayed out. In the four
years she has lived with us she has hidden under the bed whenever
strangers come into our house. This is the first time she hasn't gone
under the bed. Of course after I hung up with my inlaws the first
thought to hit me was "Is Selena sick? Was she out trying to tell Jamie
that she needed to see the vet? Did he not know the signals to look
for?" I worried for nothing. She just wanted to make sure she got her
food when Hobbes did. Lacey still hid under the bed but Jamie reported
that when he went over that all three cats were at the door watching the
window to see who was coming. Hobbes of course stayed out for petting,
Selena hid under the dining room table and Lacey ran and hid under the
bed. When we got home all three cats were watching the window and all
three stayed out. This is the first time they've stayed out for us as
well. Usually the first hour or two after we return home Selena is under
the bed hiding and Lacey waits until we walk in the door and she hisses
at us then runs under the bed. Yesterday all three waited for us to pet
them and seemed to be glad we were home.

I'm still trying to read the 5,000 email messages - well rather find the
valid email messages around the spam. I have scanned the ng and sending
out purrs as needed and was happy to see that the Mouser is still
afloat. I'll catch up with everyone sometime by the end of the week.

Until then....It Sure Is Good To Be Home!!!
