OT A unique request
Does anyone here have any record albums by the group "Atlanta"? Or any
CD's? I'd like to buy them if you do--it's a birthday gift for a friend. Hazel Az |

The only band I know with "atlanta" in the name is the "atlanta rhythm section". On second thought did you try Amazon? |

I think there was/is a group called *Atlantis* but never heard of an
Atlanta. Also believe there is a group called Alanis, which I'm trying to nail down. Only caught the end of their performances a couple of times on public television, and want more. They, whoever they are, are very good. Their lead singer, a woman, is a very talented musician... virtually unknown in this day of the *Smashing Pumpkins* et al. I checked a few of the online musc stores and only came up with Atlanta Rythm Section, Atlanta Braves or Atlanta Symphony. For exampe www.buy.com had a few of the A.R.S.-albums as did Amazon.com. -- * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Christine in Vantaa, Finland (Europe) Email: christal63(at)yahoo(dot)com Photos: http://photos.yahoo.com/christal63 |

Oh .. and Ebay does have "Atlanta" as opposed to Atlanta Rythm Section, etc.

Hazel Az I remember the group Atlanta, but i only remember there being one popular song.. guess they were sort of a one-hit-wonder. Alanis however, is NOT a band. Her name is Alanis Morissette and she's a Canadian artist. Great singer, lots of angst and all that. Kristy -- "As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly." - Arthur Carlson |

Hazel Az I believe the 8-track is of the band she's looking for, but the better question is, does her friend OWN an 8-track machine.. not too many folks do nowadays..
