"Marina" had some very interesting things
to say about Pics of Nikki on her walkies:

Yes, I could have done that if I had thought of it. ;o) They were sort of
terrierish-looking, but the size of German Shepherds or bigger.

Hmmmm, maybe similar to Airedales.

She looks very elegant! Is she still complaining about the weather?
Best wishes,

She does look natty in the harness! The red against her black fur is
very stylish.

Where was Frank?

Very nice pictures. She seems happy to be in her harness. I can't imagine
Gizmo being as forgiving!!!

There were a lot of d*gs out at the same time. Nikki mostly ignored them,
but when she saw these two big shaggy things (I don't know dog breeds),

she
hunched down and stared at them with fascination. Suddenly she tried to

set
off towards them. I caught her up with the leash (I have one of those
rollerflex ones). Fortunately, the d*gs were very well-behaved, and just
looked at her with bemused looks on their faces. I think Nikki believes

she
is a lion or some other big cat, which is pretty ridiculous, since she is
actually a very petite cat. She was seriously going to attack those d*gs,
who were ten times as big as her - *and* there were two of them.

Was having trouble with my old PC and meant to post this much earlier: that
is a MOST natty red harness and Nikki looks like a million wearing it on her
outing! I don't understand why she doesn't slither out of it like the bad
ones here who wouldn't wear a harness, as we found out, for a million cat
treats, which is why I eventually gave the cute bright pink harness to a doc
at work in the ER who has a chihuahua who proudly struts in the pink harness
these days........

LOL! Sounds cute. Nikki used to hate her harness. She used to do the whole
flop-over-I-can't-move routine when I put it on her. But now that she's into
our walkies, she comes running when I show her the harness, stands nicely to
attention while I put it on her and doesn't wriggle at all, and then we're
off. She's never tried to wriggle out of it, and I suspect that nowadays she
is so... err.. fluffy, that she wouldn't be able to.

Frank was at home. We tried to go out, Frank really wanted to and stood at
the door whinging. But when we got out in the hallway, someone opened a door
somewhere, and Frank dashed back home. He used to enjoy his walkies so much,
but there was this child in our yard who scared him badly once, and now he
is terrified to go out. It breaks my heart.

You're lucky! Smudge runs away when she sees me coming toward her with the
harness. I don't even think she minds *wearing* it - she just hates having
it put on. She doesn't flop over and pretend to be paralyzed - once it's
on her, the worst is over and she's ready to go out. But it sure is
frustrating when she meows to go out, so I get her harness, and instead
of running toward the door, she runs behind the big stuffed easy chair
where I can't reach her! This behavior does not showcase her considerable
intelligence...

IMO, red is the perfect colour for her :^))

I agree, and I think Nikki is very aware of how striking she looks in her
harness. ;o)
