Kitty falls in love with desk lamp, news at 11

It's gotten a bit cooler here in South Florida lately (into the 40's (F)
outside) and Lynxie's behavior has changed a bit...

Let's just say that he basks under its glow for long periods. It's
adorable. He sometimes gets playful with that pull-chain as well.

And the lamp was only $15!

As usual: Lynxie is a be-yoo-tiful kitty!!

I have that exact lamp. Yes, it is cheap. And my cats used to love to
bask under it, too (Roxy and Smudge would vie for the spot). But ever
since I switched to a fluorescent bulb, they've lost interest, and I
don't think they've quite forgiven me.

Nikki used to do that, too, but I seem to have lost the picture. Wow. Lynxie
is so... big!

Actually, I was thinking of getting a fluorescent bulb for it, but since
Lynxie likes it so much, I'm gonna wait until the weather warms up some
to put one in.

It's nice to have a warm lamp when it's 47F outside but when it's 90F
you want to remove as much heat generation as possible from in the
house. }

Awwww! Little Lynxie has turned into a gorgeous big boy! My Mike has
never cared for my banker's lamp (exactly like yours!) but can
occasionally be seen sitting beside a lamp with a regular fabric
shade, leaning his face into the shade's top opening, eyes closed and
basking in the rising heat.
