Default tapeworm and cats

Hi...

After doing some research on the Net, I figured out that my cat had
tapeworms. I called the vet today and they gave me two options:
either to make an appt or jus pick up the medicine. I decided for the
latter and I've already given it to her. My question is, how long
does it take for the pill to take effect? The nurses in the vet's
office didn't even really explain anything to me, so any knowledge I
have is off the Net. Thanks for your help.

My kitty had a tapeworm and I gave him the pill 3 days ago. I assume it
worked pretty quickly as the next morning there were no tapeworm segments
where he'd been sleeping and nothing wiggling out his bum.
