OT - Please Help w/FB

I don't know what happened, but I can no longer see any of my groups listed
and have no idea how to get to one. I was looking for the catslaves group,
but I have no idea how to go about even looking it up. Have I somehow been
"unfriended" from catslaves? Does anyone know how I could rejoin? Do I
need to get an invitation? I would completely understand if the owner or
administrator doesn't think I fit in the group any more, so please don't
feel like you have to invite me. I would just really appreciate the info,
yes or no.

Never mind - sorry, I finally found the problem. I still think FB pretty
much sucks, so I probably won't post stiff.

I'm so sorry to keep having to say I'm sorry - I think it might be a good
idea to "take a break" from the internet for a while - I just can't act like
a real person in this unreal existence and I'd rather not make any more
enemies or put into any more killfiles (as I know I'm already in quite a
few).

I rejoined FB because so many of you said you were there. I still don't get
the attraction. Maybe I haven't paid enough attention, but I really don't

I joined it originally so I could see videos of my nephew's Steam Punk band.
I hung around and acquired a lot of 'friends' from various newsgroups.
However, I almost never visited my home page unless I received a message
that someone wanted to friend me or had written on my wall. Eventually, I
had over 200 'friends' and whole discussions were being written on my wall
that had nothing to do with me, so I deleted my account. I know people who
are very happy with it, and who have been contacted by long-lost friends
because of it. I'm happy for them, but I don't think it's for me.

I don't like it because of the long load times - it only lets you see a
small portion of a note and then you have to hit the "more" button (and
wait, and wait) to see the rest of the post - I doesn't "thread" nicely like
OE does. Plus Facebook keeps changing itself and wiping out all your
settings so you have to continually redo everything. But the main reason is
I "forget" who I have as friends and something that I might say to one
friend may cause resentment or hurt to the ones I forget are reading my
notes. I had a very, very bad incidence of that very thing not long ago and
I'm still suffering the consequences. I know that this group is open to the
rest of the world to see, but none of my friends, relatives or coworkers
know about it so, for me, it's relatively private.

I'm keep my account because it's the main way I can keep up with my
granddaughters in New Orleans (Brooke changes her "status" 3 or 4 times a
day so I always know where she is and what she's doing! ; And if
something's wrong I can see it immediately and then call or text her for the
details.
