Dogs and Cats
Somewhere in the past 49,579 posts (vbg) there was a post about dogs and
cats. I thought I'd share an observation from Christmas day. We had brunch at my brother-in-law's house. He has a calico cat that is about 9 years old. They also have a d*g thing that is a mix of chow, lab, and various other small muscular d*g. Elsie (the d*g) was getting pets from everyone in the room and enjoying all of the company, but you could see her watching from the corner of her eye, looking for the cat. Sundae (the cat) knows some of us very well and remembers us from the time we rescued her. She was with me getting scritches and ear rubs. When she walked away, Elsie came over for a pet. Sundae ran under the coffee table and attacked Elsie for daring to approach one of *her* hoomans. Poor Elsie is terrified of this very small calico cat. BIL says that Sundae will hide (for instance under the Christmas tree) and wait for Elsie to walk by and she'll run out and slap, slap, slap Elsie with her paws. Another d*g slave to the Master species. Julie |
