I mean, there are a lot of religions. Saying "the truth about Christianity" could make sense ... but most religions never even came up in the book, that I recall. monique, who spoils Oscar unmercifully Not my kinda movie. You intellectuals enjoy DaVinci w/my best wishes. I will be at local premier of X-Men sequel....Hugh Jackman w/more facial hair than Jake Plummer......to each his/her own. It's a funny coincidence you mention X-Men, Ian McKellen is in both movies. -- Adrian (Owned by Snoopy and Bagheera) Cats leave pawprints on your heart. http://community.webshots.com/user/clowderuk |

No, no cats but but lots of paintings (LLL will love that it was filmed in the Lourve)... took them a year of negotiation to get permission to film in there. One day I hope to visit. That never dawned on me with all the "controversy" over the novel. (Cripes, I can't understand so many learned types who don't understand the work novel) I usually skip movies because of my hearing. But if they were able to film in the Louvre, I have to see it on the big screen. Going to France is one dream I'm unlikely to realize at this point, as well as my lifetime wish to visit the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. Jo |

Oh I know I am listed in their archives as owner of certain comics that only
a few exist. I do this every time I get a collectible or I know will be worth some money. I get 6 of them one to lock away un touched, one to get signed by who ever artist etc. One for the general to see and the last one to be completely locked away and never touched. The first two that get locked away are still shown when I go to a convention but the last one never leaves the vault. The fifth and six are to sell if the money is right sorry got to make a profit some how I do them same about other collectibles I have never got into tomes or other publications never got interested in them. I travel the sci fi circuit and the comic circuit. I have a lot of movie collectibles. My most recent purchase was items from the farscape series. I got a drd and a pulse pistol that were used in the series. I have so many autographs movie cells or items that I have a special room for them. My most prized movie collectible is from the highlander series. A set Japanese swords, a highlander sword from the movie that were used which were many. I had Adrian Paul, Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery metal etch their signatures into the blades during a convention show many years ago. That gets a lot of oohs and how much will you sell them for. On the Gary gax scene I have original items that were produced when D & D was still in the underground. A lot of old stuff. God I am feeling my age now. I had someone offer me a lot of money for a xman comic and I had to laugh I told him I paid $1.25 for it when it was released. My wife does not understand the whoopee about it but she says she rather have me spend the money on that than going out and being a dirty old man he he ha ha "dnr" wrote in message ... Ron Howard (the director) was on The Tonight Show the other night and talked about how intense the negotiations were to get permission to film in the Lourvre. One can only imagine the security that had to be dealt with! Going to France is one dream I'm unlikely to realize at this point, as well as my lifetime wish to visit the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. I really enjoyed getting a notion of what these famous men's lives were like, and the ways of their times. Also took in G. Washington's sprawling place....if you ever go, check out the color combinations on dining room walls (said to be Martha's taste, LOL). |

But I'd probably sell my soul and hock the family silver to be healthy enough to visit the other one. I know myself and I don't travel well. Sadly I inherited my family wanderlust but not their health. Jo |

Jefferson was quite the inventor (think dumb waiter and lazy susan, not to mention he introduced macaroni & cheese to this country). I'm afraid I don't remember the shades of the rooms at Mt. Vernon. I do remember Jefferson had a bed that fit between the walls of two rooms... he could get up on either side of the bed that way LOL Jill |
