Default Cat behavior with other pregnant cat

I have a 5 yr old female cat and a 1 yr old female cat that is pregnant. The
pregnant cat is due to give birth in the next week. The older female has
suddenly became extremely aggressive and has been attacking the pregnant cat.
Can anyone explain this? I have never had a cat that was pregnant before. The
older cat was very loving and kind to this cat until recently.
